Nestled in the woods along the Shining Sea Bikeway is the camping park, AutoCamp.

But this is not just your average camping park. The park, just outside of Falmouth in Massachusetts, is home to a number of Airstreams all decked out with all the comfort, technology, and convenience that make travellers feel at home.

Firstly, I should say that I am not a caravan camping kinda girl. I love camping but caravans have never been my thing. But as I have been informed, an Airstream is not a Caravan… cue cheeky grin. Airstream travel trailers have become an American icon, turning heads on the highway since the 1930s and I have to say I was really impressed. It looks so sleek from the outside and inside was just as fabulous. From the black light switches and design details to the comfy bed and amenities. Everything felt clean and well taken care of.

There is a clubhouse onsite where you can purchase eco wood (you can’t burn regular wood) for your own fire pit, grab a breakfast coffee and hangout on some of their comfy seats to watch the sunset. All the communications you get from Autocamp are clear and provide you with all the information you need for a great stay… including YouTube videos on how to use the heating or checking in. You even get a text to tell you when your suite is ready.

Highly recommend grabbing one of the complimentary bikes and head out onto the Shining Sea Bikeway. 5miles to the left you are will end up in Woods Hole, where you can grab the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. If island hopping is not your thing, stop off at Landfall Restaurant , grab your favourite drink and tuck into their Lobster Roll.. you won’t be disappointed.

Turn right out of AutoCamp along the bike path and you will end up in North Falmouth… passing the Little Sippewissett Marsh. Take time to stop and look at all the wildlife… make sure you look up to see if the Osprey’s are home! Half way to North Falmouth and you will end up at Chapoquoit Beach… so don’t forget to pack that suncream and maybe a little beach drinkie!

The Clubhouse and the bike path… both as gorgeous. Photos by Me!
